The Emerald Coast Science Center values the diversity of culture and thought and seeks talented, qualified employees in all its operations regardless of race, gender, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected classification under country or local law.

Being an educator at the center was the first time I genuinely enjoyed going to work, and the flexibility of the position was perfect for me as I worked on my Master’s degree, too. I can’t recommend the center enough to anyone who is looking for an entry job into education, or who just wants to be surrounded by an amazing community of science-lovers. I was able to build my experience in education and work with an amazing group of people, all while getting kids excited about all types of science."

Being an educator the center was easily one of the best jobs I have ever had. Part of me wishes I could have worked there forever, but alas, I had to move on with my teaching career and am now High School Marine Science teacher. My time at the science center was the perfect introduction to teaching children of all ages and writing lesson plans, and I still draw upon what I learned from the center in my classroom today. It is truly a wonderful work environment that gives you the freedom to explore your creativity every single day with the support of amazing coworkers. I would say my favorite part of this job is how much you learn in the process. I started off as a Marine Biology enthusiast, but by the time I left I had experience in so many more branches of science from engineering and physics to chemistry, astronomy, and more! The few years I spent at Emerald Coast Science Center were some of the most enriching years of my life, and I appreciate every memory I made there."
