We would like to thank each and every krewe that came out to celebrate with us at Sip & Science: Mardi Gras! Between the Hurricane Punch, delicious Cajun grub from The Boardroom, and Mardi Gras games, we can say with certainty we really let the good times roll.
While most went crazy for the Masquerade Station and our ever-popular Animal Ambassadors, things got real during the Bourbon Street Bead Toss competition. Guests had to see who could land the most beads on their partner's head by flinging necklaces across the room. Don't worry, protective eye wear was included, and we're happy to report the only injuries included bruised egos from losing teams. Our Canal Street Coin Challenge (think beer pong, but with coins!) was another opportunity to earn back the title of winning-est krewe.
We even transported some of our guests to New Orleans thanks to our Green Screen!
The night would not have been complete with one final show down: the Mardi Gras costume contest. With so many worth entries, we had to let the crowd decide by a round of applause who would be victorious. Our winner scored an awesome Mardi Gras bundle with beads, poppers, masks, and gift certificates to area restaurants and bars to keep the Mardi Gras celebration going through Fat Tuesday.
We had a night for the ages! Thanks to everyone for coming out to start Carnival Season with us. We can't wait for our next Sip & Science event this May! Get ready for a fiesta...
