We enjoyed a night that was straight up amazing on Saturday, May 13th during My Chemical Cocktail! Science lovers and cocktail enthusiasts gathered together to sample scientific creations from local bartenders and mixologists, win some prizes, and enjoy live music. Plus, we had some scientifically delicious food, including fruit molecules, petri dish cheesecake cultures, and robot cheese cubes.
Attendees enjoyed mingling with some of our animal ambassadors, exploring our exhibits, and even taking a photo in the photo booth on our STEAM Bus. We had our sciPad exhibit open with a variety of games that included putting the order of the process of making different types of alcohol correctly.
Sura Korean Steakhouse, Tipsy Mule, and RadBar received their awards from Diane, ECSC Director.
All guests could vote for their favorite cocktail through voting tokens for the category of "People's Choice," while our judge panel judged the competitors' cocktails for the categories of "Best Presentation" and "Most Scientific." Our winning competitors for the evening were Sura Korean Steakhouse for "Most Scientific," Tipsy Mule Bar for "Best Presentation," and RadBar for "People's Choice."
We had eight competitors providing scientific creations for attendees to sip and vote for. This included Bitterroot, Cellar Speakeasy, Sura Korean Steakhouse, Ivy & Ale, Emerald Coast Vibe, RadBar, KC's Sandbar, and Tipsy Mule.
The evening wouldn't be complete without vibing music from Marvin Lee, raffle items won by lucky attendees, and our sponsors enjoying cocktail samples.
