Winter fun is so close, we can't stand it! If you're looking for fun activities the whole family can enjoy over winter break, we've got you covered. We're open special hours for general admission guests from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on December 20 and 27. Be sure to check out our gift shop before you leave for any last-minute stocking stuffers and Christmas gifts for your science-loving family members.
Can't make it on the 20th? No worries--our Winter Workshops officially kick off on December 21 and run through the 23. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with our special workshops starting at 10:30 a.m. Guests can expect a new hands-on activity each day, all included with general admission pricing. This means all current Science Center members get in for free to enjoy all our winter games and activities. See the schedule of events below!
DECEMBER 21: COL-AR: SCIENCE MEETS MAGIC
Our Augmented Reality coloring technology creates engaging, immersive coloring experiences. Watch your holiday pictures come to life with COL-AR! Color beautiful winter masterpieces from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Pictures can be taken home without the AR technology. After the workshop, head over to the Reptile Room and enjoy a Creature Feature from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.
DECEMBER 22: HOLIDAY ORNAMENTS
Make your own holiday ornament using our 3D pens: Christmas trees, Santa hats, reindeer...what magical ornaments can you create to take home and hang on your own tree? Stop by our workshop and get to crafting from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Then head on over to play sciPad winter games from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
DECEMBER 23: THE GREAT OZOCLAUS
Help Ozoclaus don his hat and deliver presents to the houses of the good girls and boys before the time runs out on Christmas Eve. Can you avoid the Grinch and get home to the North Pole by Christmas morning? Complete the mission between 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Then head on over to play sciPad winter games from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
While the museum will be closed on December 24and 25, we will return for more winter fun on December 28, 29, and 30. Enjoy the the museum from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day with special activities beginning at noon. You snow the drill, all activities listed below are included with general admission, and space for the Creature Feature is available on a first come, first served basis.

Make peppermint polymers and fizzy candy canes from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Then dash over to join in on winter games from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on the sciPad.
The museum will be closed on December 31 and January 1 for the New Year holiday. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, and we can't wait to ring in 2023 with all of you! We have so many wonderful activities, new exhibits, and surprises in store.
